Information for Authors
Dress for the Conference
Business, Casual, or Aloha attire.
Format of Presentations:
Paper sessions will consist of three to four presentations in a 90 minute session. The session will be divided equally between the presenters.
Workshop presenters will be given the full 90 minute session.
Panel sessions will last 90 minutes and it is the presenters’ choice how that time is split between panelists.
Poster sessions will last 90 minutes and consist of a large group of presenters. Poster sessions allow attendees to speak with the presenters on a one-to-one basis. If you are scheduled for a poster session, the following supplies will be provided to present your research on:
Performances will be accommodated whenever possible. Please email humanities@hichumanities.org with your performance requirements.
Equipment that will be provided by the conference and setup in all presentation rooms: (excluding poster sessions):
*** The laptops will accept CD-ROMs, DVD’s, and USB “Flash” drives. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel are installed on each laptop for your convenience. We will not be able to install any special software that your presentation may require. However, if you bring your own laptop, you may use it instead of the one that is provided. Please note that Internet access is NOT provided in any of the presentation rooms.
